Boys to Men

In case no one has noticed, boys grow into men. It is a transitional process. It doesn't happen overnight. Boys do not fit into a size 16 one week and a 40R the next. Yet no company seems to market to this age bracket. Does your 14 or 15 year old need a suit? Good luck with that. This doesn't seem to be a problem with teenage girls. They have their very own "juniors" department at every store and a size scheme made just for them as they grow into adulthood (1, 3, 5, 7...). But boys? Forget it. And the same goes for shoes. What if your son needs a size 7 men's dress shoe for Homecoming? You could spend days looking for a size 7, any size 7. Forget about choice...just find me a size 7! Even in their everyday clothes this can be a problem. All boys nowadays want their shorts long. But in order to get the length, you would have to buy men's athletic shorts, and this means you would have to double their waist size. There are some stores catering to this age bracket (Hollister and Abercrombie) but they sell one very limited type of clothing and nothing more. Retailers need to get on the ball and do something to serve this market!

If anyone knows of a store that might help fill this gap, please post it!
